When setting up an IOT system for your organization, the first step is setting up an appropriate environment. Whether your needs are as minimal as one way machine data extraction, or as complex as a full IOT enabled factory with ERP and MES systems communicating to all your shop floor equipment. We have the tools and expertise to understand current state and future state of your industry 4.0 journey, and setup an appropriate infrastructure in alignment with your goals.


Connectivity


We take the approach of connected factory to the full extent; any equipment that serves purpose in your process should be taken into account for connectivity. Anything from CNC machines to work holding, vision systems, and custom tooling. With our stand alone in house IOT systems, we can configure accordingly to connect anything to your company infrastructure.



Interface


Equipment needs to be IOT friendly, whether that entails setting up and integrating a machine side solution, developing an IOT messaging protocol interface such as MQTT or OPC-UA, or creating a custom machine driver. We can work with you to find a solution for your equipment.



Example use case

    • ERP system sending next scheduled order to a fully automated maching cell, along with CNC program from remote repository. Said cell also utilzes a connected CMM to inspect first 5 parts which communicate dimensional errors and overide tool adjustments for out of tolerance part dimensions.

    • Fully modular automation cell sending signals to Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to drive over, and remove modules (plug n play automation equipment) for different part variations.

    • CNC machine vibration system makes real time adjustment to cutting feed rates (within pre-defined allowed limts) to reduce possibilty of tool breakage.
